Air regulator and water separator

Air regulator and water separator

Air regulator and water separator is an element that performs work through the force generated by the pressure or expansion of the gas, that is, a mechanism that converts the elastic energy of the compressed air into kinetic energy.

Composition of the Air Pressure Regulator Water Separator

The air pressure regulator water separator includes several key components:

◆ Air Filter: Removes dirt, dust, and other particles from the compressed air.

◆ Pressure Reducing Valve: Regulates the pressure to ensure it stays within the required range.

◆ Lubricator: Provides lubrication to pneumatic components. Some solenoid valves and cylinders achieve oil-free lubrication through grease, eliminating the need for a lubricator.

The filter's precision typically ranges from 50-75μm, and the pressure regulation range spans from 0.5-10 MPa. Finer filter precision options, such as 5-10μm, 10-20μm, or 25-40μm, offer pressure regulation ranges from 0.05-0.3 MPa to 0.05-1 MPa.

These components are connected without piping and are commonly referred to as an F.R.L. (Filter, Regulator, Lubricator) combination.

Air Compressor Regulator Diagram

An air compressor regulator diagram provides a visual representation of how the air regulator and water separator work within a pneumatic system. Typically, the diagram includes the following components:

◆ Air Compressor: Supplies compressed air to the system.

◆ Air Filter: Positioned to filter out contaminants from the air before it enters the pressure regulator.

◆ Pressure Regulator: Controls the air pressure by reducing it to a specified level.

◆ Water Separator: Removes moisture from the compressed air to prevent rust and corrosion in the system.

◆ Lubricator (Optional): If lubrication is required, it is positioned after the pressure regulator to ensure proper oil mist distribution.

The diagram helps users understand the flow of compressed air, from filtration to pressure regulation, and the removal of water, ensuring that the pneumatic components receive clean and dry air under optimal pressure.

Advantages of the Air Compressor Water Separator Regulator

The compressed air compressor water separator regulator is designed with several benefits:

◆ Simple Structure: Lightweight, easy to install, and maintain.

◆ Safe Operation: The medium is air, which is less flammable compared to hydraulic fluids, ensuring safer use.

◆ Efficient Performance: Ensures the supply of clean and dry compressed air to the pneumatic system, maintains the air tightness of the system, and provides necessary lubrication for oil mist components.

It also ensures the system operates under the specified conditions (such as pressure and voltage) to ensure pneumatic actuators work as required.

Common Air Filter and Pressure Regulators

Common air filter and pressure regulators are:

◆ AC Series FR.L Combination

◆ AFC,BFC Series FR.L Combination

◆ SAD402-S Series End Auto Drainer

These models are widely used to maintain optimal conditions within pneumatic systems.
