Flange plate

Flange plate is an external or internal protruding ridge, lip, or edge that is used to add strength; to facilitate connection/transmission of contact forces with another object; or to stabilize and guide the movement of a machine or its components.

Plate flanges are used to connect pipes, valves, fittings and special items such as filters and pressure vessels. Flanges are bolted and sealing is usually done using gaskets or other methods.

May include mechanical devices to mitigate the effects of leaks, such as splash guards or specific sprinkler flanges.

 Industries dealing with flammable, volatile, toxic or corrosive substances require special protection at flange connections. Flange guards provide a higher level of protection for safety. Common flange plate sizes are: 3/4 flange plate

Stainless steel plate flanges are often used in subsea oil and gas or risers, cold work and cryogenics, gas injection, high temperature and nuclear.Common flange mounts are: FA/FB Type Flange (ISO6431), FA/FB Type Flange for SC, SU series cylinder, FA-25-MA Flange mount.
