Pilot Operated Solenoid Valve is different from direct acting solenoid valve. When electrified, the valve stem is lifted by the electromagnetic force, and the pilot valve port is opened.
At this time, the upper chamber of the solenoid valve is relieved through the pilot hole, and a high pressure is formed around the main spool.
Under the action of the pressure difference, the fluid pressure pushes the main valve core to move up and open the main valve port.
When the power is off, under the action of the spring force and the gravity of the main spool, the valve stem is reset, the pilot hole is closed, the main spool moves down, and the main valve port is closed;
the pressure in the upper chamber of the solenoid valve rises, and the fluid pressure flows to the main spool. Pressurized for better sealing.
Pilot solenoid valve, pilot diaphragm structure, low function, with protective diaphragm structure design, the service life can be extended twice,
the piping method can be installed at any angle, in order to enhance the service life, it is best to connect the horizontal pipe with the coil upward.
Coil protection grade IP65, applicable medium: liquid, water, hot water, gas, oil, gas, etc. Common solenoid pilot valve are: 2V Series Solenoid Valve, PU225 Series Solenoid Valve, 2W Series The new Solenoid Valve.
Solenoid pilot valve are widely used in self-made systems in dyeing, textile, printing and dyeing, food, medicine, cigarettes, cement products, petrochemicals, metallurgy and other departments.
When an electrical current flows through the solenoid coil, it generates a magnetic field that moves the solenoid plunger, which either opens or closes the valve.
The solenoid valve is connected to a pilot system that controls the pressure inside the valve. When activated, the solenoid allows the pilot valve to manage the pressure, ensuring smooth operation of the main valve.
Once the main valve is opened or closed, the flow of fluid is regulated according to the system's needs, whether it's a normally open or normally closed configuration.Benefits of a Pilot Operated Solenoid Valve
Since the pilot-operated valve requires less power to function, it is more energy-efficient, especially in systems with high fluid flow demands.
These valves can handle higher flow rates compared to direct-acting solenoid valves, making them ideal for large-scale applications.
The pilot mechanism reduces the strain on the solenoid, extending the valve's service life and making it more durable in challenging environments.
The combination of solenoid actuation and pilot control ensures precise regulation of fluid flow, which is essential for applications requiring accuracy.
Despite their ability to manage large flow volumes, Pilot Operated Solenoid Valves are designed to be compact, making them suitable for applications with limited space.
Pilot Operated Solenoid Valves are widely used in industries such as:
For controlling air flow in various manufacturing and automation equipment.
Used in machinery that requires precise control of high-pressure fluid systems.
In systems that manage the flow of water or chemicals for purification processes.
In exploration and production operations, where precise fluid control is critical.
The Pilot Operated Solenoid Valve is an indispensable tool for fluid control, offering high efficiency, reliability, and precision. With its energy-saving features and capacity to handle large fluid flows, it plays a critical role in various industrial sectors, ensuring the smooth operation of pneumatic, hydraulic, and other fluid systems. Its compact design and durability make it a preferred choice for high-performance applications.
