Solenoid valve (Electromagnetic valve) is an industrial equipment controlled by electromagnetic. It is an automatic basic component used to control fluid. It belongs to actuator and is not limited to hydraulic and pneumatic. The types of solenoid valves can be roughly divided into 5 types: 2-way valves, 2/2 direct-operated or direct-acting valves, 2/2 indirect or pilot valves, 3-way valves, 4-way or 5-way valves.
The most common of these is the 2-way valve, which essentially consists of 2 ports that allow alternating inflow and shutoff. Two-way valves are versatile and can be deployed in applications across many industries.
The 2/2 direct operation or direct acting valve adopts the solenoid valve, which has the simplest working principle. Its other name is direct acting solenoid valve. Its basic function is that when the valve is always fully running, it does not require any pressure in the pipeline. .
2/2 indirect or pilot operated valve, the advantage of this valve is that it requires less electrical power to operate.
The three-way valve has three ports, namely an air inlet, an exhaust port, and an air outlet. According to the valve status when the solenoid valve is energized, it is mainly divided into normally closed, normally open or general shunt function.
Four or five way valves can have four or more port connections and provide positive bi-directional action.
